Surcharge: Each time someone withdraw money you, you receive a surcharge. If you charge $1.50 and do 300 transactions per month you make $450,00

Discount fee: As you probably know each time someone pays with a credit card you get charged a discount fee. So if your customers pay cash for the products they purchase with the cash they withdrew from your ATM, you won't have to pay for that discount fee.

Stand alone ATMs

Stand alone ATMs can be used by anyone around the world. They can be used by someone who has a checking, savings account. Any foreigner can also access your ATM machine. Individuals can access your ATM and check their balance as well as transfer money from a checking to a savings account.

Cashless ATMs

Cashless ATMs or script ATMs are not ATM machines. Scrip terminals are defined as any device that gives a receipt or "scrip" instead of cash when a cardholder withdraws money from their bank account. The cardholder then MUST redeem this scrip for cash from the location, typically from an employee at a counter. Unfortunately, POS equipment CANNOT be used to make withdrawals from credit cards or savings accounts. You can only withdraw money from a checking account, or if someone uses a debit card. In other words, you must sacrifice all credit card holders, and international visitors when you purchase a cashless ATM instead of a traditional stand alone ATM Machine.
